12 kwietnia 1969r grupa The 5th Dimension rozpoczęła pierwszy pobyt z sześciu tygodni na pierwszym miejscu listy przebojów w USA piosenką „Aquarius / Let The Sunshine In”, znaną również z kultowego filmu „Hair” z muzyką Galta MacDermota. Kompozycja zdobyła dwie nagrody Grammy – za nagranie roku i najlepsze grupowe wykonanie.
